


Huney - Vaughn Court Reporters,
Ltd. (HV) was originally founded in 1959 by Harold Guy.
Guy Reporting Service became Guy and Johnson in 1964.
Mr. Huney and Mr. Vaughn joined the Guy and Johnson
firm and in 1974 the Firm became known as Johnson, Huney
and Vaughn (Mr. Guy retired at this point). Mr. Johnson
left the Firm in 1986 (for health reasons) and it then
became known as Huney, Vaughn & Associates, Ltd.
HV has opened an office in the Quad-City area of Iowa
(Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, and Rock Island), the
Council Bluffs/Omaha, Nebraska area, and has established
an "affiliate" relationship with reporters
in major cities throughout the state to ensure that
work assignments can be covered. Huney - Vaughn was
the first firm in Iowa to computerize, and has maintained
the leading edge in technology. Today, it is the largest
firm in Iowa with a staff of 16 court reporters, and
a support staff of 10.
Principals own a complete
copy center service (Quick Copy Center) for production
of attorneys' briefs on appeal, copying of documents,
preparation of exhibits, posters, and color reproductions.
